Island paradise

Why Koh Lipe

  • Some of the best snorkelling in Thailand, right off the beach
  • Tarutao National Marine Park protects stunning coral reefs and marine life
  • Small island with no cars and a relaxed, end-of-the-road feel

A tiny island in the far south of Thailand near the Malaysian border, Koh Lipe sits inside the Tarutao National Marine Park and is often called "the Maldives of Thailand." Crystal-clear water, spectacular coral reefs, and a laid-back island vibe make it one of the best snorkelling destinations in the country. It is more remote and harder to reach than other Thai islands, which keeps it from being overrun — though it gets busy in high season.
